Put that Sugar on my Tongue, Tongue

I'm contemplating giving up sugar. (GASP!) I know, the horror! So far I haven't consumed any sugar in 24 hours... I'm not sure how long it's going to last seeing as how I usually eat dessert at least once a day. I'll let you know when I fail. :)

I hope you do well...I have been trying to do that for the last week or so...not successful. I keep on saying stop and then treat yourself at Easter time but I had chocolate covered gummi bears last night...ugh!

When I did Atkins, the hardest part was the first two weeks. I'd look at an M&M and just want to cry. But once I got over the hump, once the sugar was out of my blood, I didn't miss it one bit. Of course, I was eating cheese sticks by the baleful so, um, yeah - maybe swapping one devil for another isn't the smartest move.

I usually go on the South Beach Diet at New Years. I did really well until last weekend, I at a cookie and M&M's. I am going to do better.

Speaking of South Beach...isn't that diet really high in fat? It seems like if you don't like cheese, eggs and meat you would not do well on this diet?

On South Beach, you eat only lean meats, low fat cheese, non-starchy vegetables. After 2 weeks you can add oatmeal (YUM!), sweet potatoe, or a slice of bread daily. I don't eat a lot of meat. I can get 3 meals out of one side breast of chicken.
