My friend, D, always gives me a hard time about not updating my blog enough. OKAY D, pretty sure you had a rockin' blog for a hot minute that hasn't been updated since, ohhhh... you know... LAST MAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway. After reading my last blog post I received this from her in my inbox:
dont look that cute today. at all. your blog? you need to set an age limit to like 31. a person approaching 40 who is divorced has NOTHING in common with you. why buy damaged goods? divorced= either made a bad decision or is a douchebag as my kids would say and neither is a good choice. tell him to take a hike.

Damaged goods? Really?
What an unpleasant thing to say. Perhaps we could brand divorced people with a scarlet "D," that way no one would run the risk of encountering one of these "bad decision" makers or "douchebags."
Lord knows no one ever left a marriage because their spouse slept with someone else.
And no one's ever gotten divorced because the person whom they married simply decided to leave.
And no woman--are they to be measured by the same standard as men?--ever left because of an abusive husband.
And of course, the unmarried all wear halos, are incapable of bad decisions, and are never, ever, douchebags...
Regardless of what you might see on Jersey Shore.
K.S.- I don't think she meant this as a general statement of all divorced people. Just the divorced people I'VE happen to be asked out by. :)
ahhhh! i didn't realize i was so controversial :)
look all i am saying is at 25 you do not need to date a person who has been married. why the baggage? no thanks.
obviously people get divorced for a variety of reasons. BUT eh? you don't need that.
