An Update

I have been completely remiss in updating this and I have no other excuse except- grad school is a b*tch. It’s OVER though and the lyrics keep running through my mind, “na-na-naa-na, na-na-naa-na, HEY, HEY, HEY, GOOOD BYEEEE!” I’m excited to get back into a regular workout routine, shed some of my stomach and arm flab, and start reading for pleasure again. It’s been far too long.

I am extremely sick at the moment, but those of you who know me in real life know that the way that I deal with sickness? Is to completely ignore it. I don’t have the time or patience for that BS. I’m pretty convinced I got sick from my sister. She is a germ-factory with a 0 tolerance immune system. I’ve been resisting her sickness for four months and I think my body has just had enough.

With the holidays coming up, it’s easy to become caught up in the day to day and get stuck on how someone isn’t meeting your needs or has disappointed you. I would like to encourage you to instead, think about all the ways people have pleasantly surprised you. Look to find the good in every situation, or in situations that are overall just plain bad, know that you’re not going to change it, probably… ever, and that’s okay. Don’t dwell on in through the holidays; enjoy this time with your friends and family. Stay positive.

It All Ends Abruptly

Today I finished all of my remaining work for graduate school. I cannot believe it. It actually hasn't even hit me yet- - that I'm done. I won't relax until I give a final presentation on Tuesday and hand in another final assessment but the hard part is over. This is so surreal...

Barely Staying A-float

Happy December. I had an awesome Thanksgiving with family and friends in gorgeous Vermont. The next two weeks hold a certification test, research presentation, and culminating assessment for me. I'll be MIA for a while.

I hate when this happens.
