Obviously Not Doing Work...

The life, thoughts and general comments of a Preppy Girl at heart adjusting to life in the Real World

how much do you love them? I'm really close to clicking DONE SHOPPING and checking out, with BOTH of them. I love them. And about 28 other things that I don't need. *sigh*.

The sweater was on sale at Old Navy and is the perfect weight for spring, and the bathing suite... ah...I can't wait to lounge by the pool in it!
In an effort to "know" all of my blogging friends a little a big better, I've been wondering, how did all of you end up where you currently are? Location, career, how you met your significant other, etc. I've thought about this a lot lately, and I'm wondering if you stayed close to home, went far from where you grew up, are close to your families? If you feel like sharing, I'd love to know! Or, just post about it and let me know when it's up! I'll work on my "sharing" post too!
My boyfriend arrives Friday morning... I'm counting down the days. We're going to check out where he'll be living/working for the summer and I'm having a dinner party for a few of my friends while he's here!

St. Patrick's Day is tomorrow! I hope that everyone enjoys a fun, green-filled weekend! While I love St. Patrick's Day and all of it's activities, I prefer to celebrate my Irish hertiage daily with a claddagh ring:
The claddagh design represents frienship (hands), love (heart) and loyalty (crown). My grandparents wore matching claddagh rings- - my mom inherited her mom's when she passed away- - but my mom doesn't like to wear it so I got it instead! That particular ring is gold (I wear mostly silver) so I keep it in my jewelry box and wear it when it appropriately matches my ensemble. I have though, worn a silver claddagh everyday with the heart facing appropriately towards me (my heart is taken) or away from me (my heart is open for the taking) since I was in fourth grade and got my first ring. Actually, all of the girls in my family do- - It's a little reminder for us everyday of our family and extended family and how much we mean to each other and how much fun we have when we're together.

I have been a fan (actually Super Fan more accurately describes it- - my sisters and I won an ESPN Super Fan award two years ago for our *love* of UVM bball) of University of Vermont basketball for a very long time. (Well, since they started winning in 2000:)) and have thus learned to enjoy March Madness. While my best friend is no longer on the team I still follow the team closely and have seasons tickets. Saturday the UVM Men's team played in the Championship game for an autmatic bid to the NCAA tournament. They lost. By one point. It was the most heartbreaking basketball game I have ever seen. The team did qualify for the NIT (not as glamorous) tournament and is heading to Kansas City to play in a couple days. Good luck to the Cats!
I spent the weekend visiting my sister at school and got to catch up with many of my friends who are still there. It was a great weekend and I got to go back to my beloved gym where I spent 80% of my student life. Some might think I'm kidding but it is not the case. I love that gym. The gym where the ellipticles gleam and the free weights sparkle and everything is in school colors. The gym that, if you go before noon, is empty because college students don't function well before that time. While I miss my friends a TON from college what I really miss the most is having complete and total access to a fitness mecca. :)
Our school lacrosse team also beat the defending national champions on Saturday. It was a great game and my friend is the assistant coach so I was super-excited for all of them! Aaaaaand, a great win on Saturday always means a GREAT night Saturday night!
I hope all of your weekends were enjoyable!
